Remembering the Great War

The Northern Delaware Oratorio Society commemorates the 100th anniversary of the ending World War I this Armistice Day (Nov 11) with music and poetry including works by those fallen in the conflict. Featuring Edward Elgar’s “The Spirit of England”, composed during WWI and setting poems from 1914, this concert will also present works by E. J. Moeran and Charles Hubert Parry, art songs from the period, instrumental interludes, and poetry by Rupert Brooke, Wilfred Owen, Rudyard Kipling and others.

The NDOS chorus will be joined by Robin Leigh Massie (soprano), Blake Smith (tenor), Christopher Kraus (organ), Jonathan Duan (piano), and Robert Kennan (piano).

Tickets are $15 and available at the door.
